1950’s Murano Glass Basket I’m Green and Gold by Barovier and Toso, Cordonato D Óro Glass Bowl with Handles
For your consideration we offer this extraordinary 1950’s green Cordonato d’Oro Murano glass basket from Barovier and Toso. Cordonato d’Oro was a technique used by Ercole Barovier, c. 1950. Cordonato d’Oro in English translates to rope of gold. It is literally 24 carat gold leaf twisted within the molten glass to resemble the braiding of rope. This piece beautiful piece of handmade Italian art. It is in exceptionally well preserved cosmetic condition with no blemishes to report. Two small strips of felt were placed on the bottom to prevent damage by the previous owner.
